Or, um. Query, if you will.

Why do we have the death toll?

Does it teach us anything? Don't go doing what you do or you'll get punished for it? And why a week's worth of suffering? Doesn't death make you suffer enough? I hear it can be painful.

Why just...not have a death toll? Can any, um.

Is there anyone ~~else~~ on board who can stop a death toll from happening?

No. My uncle is. But that's besides the point. Yeah, no, I have the ability to heal, which can also heal others if my blood gets in them.

It might hurt, but other than that, none that I've seen. I don't know how it would work on non-humans, either. My only experience is with a vampire, and it temporarily brought them back to life.

[He was pissed about it too. But it was his own damn fault.]

Oh, except for scars and tattoos. I can't have either, so my blood may or may not heal the scars or reject the tattoos. I've seen it do both here.

Didn't last long, but yeah. Started his heart again, skin had some color, grew warmer. [Snorts.] Freaked us both out. And of course I didn't turn into one, but that wasn't exactly a pleasant experience. to go through. Two things working against each other, only my ability won out in the end.

[Claire's been bit by more than one vampire, all of them different; Aleera, Armand, Franklin, etc.]

Had another one who manged to get be Bonded to him, though. It was some creepy connection that he forced on me. Got Stephanie too...sorry, tangent.

Oh, no, it lasted, I don't know, less than five minutes maybe? Ten tops? None of the vampires who bit me ever stayed alive. I don't know if I could do that...maybe if they drank enough?

I'm just. Curious about death, is all. How it works with people's powers. I've never met a vampire before.

If you're asking to be nosy, yeah, but sometimes it's important. Like, with the vampires, we used to have blood on hand to feed them. Which, yeah, that's more an Infirmary kinda thing. Anyway, I only asked in terms of awareness. Not all of them hid, whether by choice or through attacking someone. It's no big deal, I'm just surprised is all.

I know there's the undead here. I don't know if some are specifically vampires.

Since it's not my job to feed them, I don't know why it would be my business to ask.

[Puts up her hands defensively.] Hey, I was only curious if it was sparked by something specific. Not everyone goes around talking about death, that's all. Some people would rather enjoy everything that comes before it, you know?

Which is kinda healthy. Not that it's always a blast being here, but it grows on you, I think. I was telling Riddick the other day that I truly feel this place has changed, community wise, for the better. That we seem more banded together for the most part. I mean, there's always going to be obstacles and whatever, that's part of any life, any where. I just...I don't know.
