Happy Pi(e) Day. The day for both food and math enthusiasts to come together in a spirit of unity and baked goods.

Usually I offer a free pie to the person who can recite the most digits of pi but by the looks of some of the people here....that would probably not be a good idea. Only because we would run out of time and the pie would get cold waiting.


There is a definite out-of-whack ratio of supergeniuses here.

Well, technically for me every day is Pie Day because....I'm a piemaker.

But today is the official day to honor it.

The digits of pi, the mathematical figure that makes it possible to calcuate what's inside and around a circle. Which is a homonym for pie, the food. Which is coincidentally also shaped like a circle.

A delicious circle.

Best kind of circle. Cake is good, too. Did you know... they put pies in cakes?

Land of darkness. Birthplace of orcs, trolls, man-eating giant spiders and piecakes.

It's make-believe. There's no such place except in the place in our minds where books are stored.

It's more convenient than lugging around a several pound book with you everywhere. An imagination is the best friend any lonely person can have.
