Hello, Barge. My name is Ned, and I have a completely arbitrary and unrelated question to ask.

If you had a minute - 60 seconds - with any person currently dead and could talk and interact with them as normal, alive people would...

What would you say or ask them?

I suppose this question goes to the people who are currently...dead....and have alive people back home they're separated from as well.

It's an odd question, I know. But I've been...curious, lately.



Also, would the elf who took my wallet please give it back now? I hope you remember me; I was the piemaker dressed as a Franciscan monk. I hate to treat the network as my own personal Lost Connections newsletter but I really didn't know what other way to get in touch with you.

And if you're not actually an elf, I'm sorry for calling you one.

It's not really a, um. A jump, then, is it? If you're a zombie. More like a see-saw.

It is a matter of her wanting to give it back. I'm not going to force the issue. If she likes it she can have it.

Well, it's a lifestyle change. Or anti-lifestyle, as it were. Zombies are dead medically, but they don't die again unless they suffer massive head trauma. Similarly, the revenant population is dead because they once had bodies and now don't, but they're not going anywhere.

That's... not very assertive. Talk to her again, I'm sure you can convince her.

Your world, is, um. It doesn't quite work in the way I would have imagined.

I'm not an assertive sort of person. I'd rather...not. Confrontations give me acid reflux. Seems a little silly to do it over something as small as a wallet with only twenty-three dollars inside it, don't you think?
