[The Piemaker is in the Barge kitchen, finishing up the last works of the day. On the countertop are two small pies for two graduated inmates, to be picked up or delivered when most convenient.

They're addressed to Megamind and Riddick, with Congratulations written on top. While the Piemaker was never a man to celebrate change, he could appreciate and reward it in others.

There's a third confection that's bothering him. It's the cake-pie. The cake-within-a-pie. The abomination and unholy mash-up of good and evil.

The Piemaker prods it with a spoon]

I'm not sure how safe this is to eat. I know I made it but it's. It looks..untrustworthy.

Actually my standard of beauty is measured in sugar per square inch. I say it's gorgeous.

In this case I think it's fair to say that it's lying in wait to rip the enamel from your teeth while you're sleeping with how much sugar is packed in.

If there was ever a food that could actively plot evil, this would be it.

[ If Chris were listening from his room he'd be pleased to know the album was released in 1997. It's downright modern music for Megamind. ]

[ Megamind is, however, curiously peering at the image on the screen. ]

No. No, I'll remember for next time. We'll cook with offal, that has...lots of protein.

Is there protein in cheese? I think there is. It has cheese.

Ooh. [Riddick has a sort of combination medieval/large carnivore reaction to meat-- if it won't poison it, he'll eat it. Offal is very nice, actually.]

Dairy? Mostly fat, some protein. Good stuff.
